Winter 2011 News and Updates
Medicare Legislation.
Physical Therapist Tom DiAngelis testified to congress regarding the impending cuts to medicare. He addressed how the therapy cap and cuts in reimbursement will adversely affect Senior's ability to access health care. By reducing the cap, Seniors will have fewer visits available per calendar year. By reducing reimbursements, physicians will be disincentivised to refer patients to PT and will "steer" patients to PT facilities in which they have a vested interest as an alternative source of income.
