Therapist Opportunities Frequently Asked Question
If I am interested in exploring a future in private practice, what should I do?
There are many resources that can guide you in the process. The most valuable resource is the private practice section of the American Physical Therapy Association(PPS). The PPS website has resources on “How to start your practice”. It is advisable to join the APTA.
There are many questions you will want answered. PT Plus prides itself on a “personal touch” throughout our company. With that in mind, feel free to contact us with any type of question. It would be our pleasure to help you realize if private practice is in your future.
What does PT Plus offer in ensuring success in private practice?
First and foremost, it will decrease the learning curve and limit mistakes by having proven strategies, documentation, coding, billing and compliance procedures.
Questions like “What kind of computer system do I need? Do I need an EMR? How do billing and EMR interface? What IT requirements do I need now? What kind of billing programs do I need and do I feel comfortable with?” These questions alone require a lot of research and time. This is eliminated with PT Plus as we have all of these in place and function efficiently.
If I am interested in working with PT Plus, how do I start?
Just contact Frank Fantazzi PT, OCS at ffantazzi@ptplus.com or call at 262-321-0240.
- Consider filling out a self assessment/readiness tool….(click here).
- Have a current resume available
Would our discussions be confidential?
Yes. If after meeting and initial discussions, it is determined that PT Plus may be in your best interest, then a Letter of Confidentiality would be signed by both parties.
What does this mean?
That would simply allow a more in depth process to begin. . . . such as the development of a business plan for you. PT Plus engages the help of other outside sources, both legal and financial, which will help guide you to your ultimate goal.
