ABOUT
Maddie’s interest in occupational therapy initially started when she saw her cousin receiving OT services at a young age. From there, she shadowed many occupational therapists in a variety of settings and knew this career would be a perfect fit for her. Maddie loves that she is able to work with individuals of all ages to achieve their goals and increase their independence, whether it’s picking up their grandchildren, cooking a meal at home, combing their hair, or performing a workout. Being a collegiate athlete, she saw firsthand the important role therapy plays in making sure people are able to return to the activities they love.
Maddie has experience in the outpatient hand therapy setting where she has grown her skillset in treating patients with a variety of musculoskeletal conditions and post-surgical rehabilitation. She has a passion for hand therapy where she enjoys evaluating and treating a variety of hand and upper extremity conditions. Additionally, she enjoys working with individuals who have suffered work-related injuries, assisting them in their recovery process in order for them to return to their jobs. Maddie places an emphasis on a client-centered approach to care. She enjoys helping her patients increase their independence to allow them to participate in meaningful and desired occupations.
Outside of work, you can find Maddie hiking, traveling, playing soccer, or spending time with her family and friends. She enjoys kayaking and being out on the lake in the summer. Although she has learned to love the Packers, she will always stay true to cheering on her hometown teams, the St. Louis Cardinals and St. Louis Blues!
