“When my doctor told me to try PT, I only agreed to do 4 sessions since I never had success with other places. I kept coming back because I saw progress. Katie took time with patients and didn’t rush treatment. All the hands-on treatment and learning was appreciated.” ~C.V.

“Thank goodness for Katie. My life has taken a turn for the better. Superb knowledge about PT and Katie was able to answer every question about my knee.” ~M.T.

“I’ve had physical therapy before and the difference is day and night. The knowledge of the injury and the overall ability to help all my therapy needs was excellent. They go above and beyond!” ~E.D.

Katie Schaul

PT, DPT
RACINE

Katie Schaul, PT, DPT, graduated with a Bachelor of Science from SIUC in 2009 and received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston in 2012. Throughout her clinical experiences, she has had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of patients in multiple settings across the country. She has even completed medical mission trips in Uganda and Honduras. Her years as a travel therapist helped her to build an extensive toolbox of treatment techniques which come in handy with her passion for the outpatient orthopedic setting. She enjoys working with post-surgical patients, high-level athletes, and anyone who desires to continue to be active across their lifespan. Her continuing education has focused on manual techniques, particularly myofascial release and muscle energy techniques, to better treat her patients using a comprehensive full body approach. She also specializes in vestibular rehabilitation, TMJ and women’s health, is trained in Graston Technique, and is certified in Functional Movement Screening (FMS). Her treatment approach is all encompassing in an effort to address the causes of dysfunction and get you back to your optimal function, rather than just treating your symptoms.

Katie is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Wisconsin Physical Therapy Association.

Outside of work, Katie enjoys being active outdoors and traveling. You’ll often find her planning her next trip, seeking a new place to experience the food, culture, and geography.
